Not only is the team at Coeur d’Alene Cruises committed to making sure you have a good time on your cruise, but we’re also very safety conscious as well. We know that many families trust us to ensure they have a relaxed, enjoyable time, and it is our job to keep everything up to date. That’s why we’re always proud to say that we’re Coast Guard Certified, one of the highest levels of safety certification we could receive. We regularly have checks and are consistently updating our boats to include the latest safety practices.
So what does being Coast Guard Certified mean?
- Built for stability
Before anyone stepped foot on our boats, we made sure they were built to be stable and last. Our boats all carry a Certificate of Inspection (COI) from the coast guard — we submitted tests, drawings and calculations for all our boats to ensure we are always carrying a safe number of passengers and using good practices.
- Meets good marine practices
In addition to having a boat that is soundly built, we also need to ensure our boat is up to code for carrying passengers. This includes having railings that are the proper height, and entryways the correct width.
- Continued safety
Safety isn’t a one-time check-off on our list. We’re continually training our team — and briefing our passengers — on proper safety procedures to make sure that we’re always prepared.
